EMOTIONAL AGILITY

Coping mechanisms to confront and beat low self-confidence, weak self-image, and inability to self-regulate.

People often get caught in negative thoughts and feelings. These are not facts, but judgements and evaluations entwined with emotions, such as criticism, doubt and fear.

This is our biological predisposition trying to anticipate and solve problems and avoid pitfalls. Employees don’t suffer because of having these thoughts, but because they get hooked by them and treat them as facts.

All self-management strategies fail to deal with this, because they suggest minimizing or ignoring what’s happening.

Instead, by using principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, adapted for the needs of corporate environment, employees develop Emotional Agility/Psychological Flexibility and learn how to deal with these overwhelming thoughts and emotions.
